If you join the waitlist, we keep the email — and which piece you came to write, if you said — so we can write when it’s ready. We don’t sell it.

If you make an account, we keep the email so we know who you are.

If you use the studio, we keep the work so the coach can do its job:

• What you’re writing — and, for college pieces, what you’re applying for
• A writing sample you’re proud of, and a quiet sense of how you write drawn from it
• Talk — what you say, what Carnile asks
• Moments, tensions, and other material named on the board
• The writing ideas you pin
• The draft you type
• Margin notes

Studio work stays while the account exists. Write from that email if you want it gone, and we’ll delete it.

If you talk instead of type, the recording goes to Aqua Voice to become text. Hear-this goes to ElevenLabs. We keep the words. We do not keep the audio.

Your writing and talk go to model providers so the coach can ask, name, and note. We do not use that work to train models of our own.

A few services see what they need to do their job. Not more.

• Aqua Voice / Avalon — speech to text, if you use the mic
• ElevenLabs — hear-this, if you use it
• Vercel — hosting
• PostHog — analytics on public pages

A session cookie so you stay signed in. PostHog may set a cookie so we can tell a returning browser from a new one. We do not run ads.

We use PostHog to see how the site is used — which pages people open, which buttons they press, where they drop off. We do not send your talk, drafts, or writing samples. Session recordings stay on the public pages, not the studio.

You can ask us to delete what we have. Write from the email on the waitlist or the account — that’s how we know it’s you, and that’s how you reach us. There isn’t a street address to mail.
